As much as I love all of the eras / lineups of the band Death, I believe that the lineup on 1991’s Human was the definitive one. Chuck Schuldiner (guitar), Sean Reinert (drums), Steve Di Giorgio (bass), Paul Masvidal (guitar). Reinert and Masvidal took a break from their band Cynic to record this record and tour behind it so this particular group was short-lived. A shame, because this album (and “Lack of Comprehension” in particular) is incredible technical death metal that is hard to top.
