Frank Beard passed away this week. Most of the articles I see mentioning his passing refer to Eliminator but Beard likely didn’t play at all on that record. That being said, he was an awesome drummer. Most people remember the hits, but ZZ Top also played weird songs with bizarre beats like “Manic Mechanic” which might be my favorite ZZ Top song.
